LPP vs TTPC - As it Happened....

Sitiawan, 22th February 2013 - The match with was again delayed due to late arrival of travelling team took place at LPP home ground  Stadium Astaka Sitiawan. The much waited game started at 9pm. It was LPP who first took the control of the game. They had few clear chances through their Lebanese prolific striker, Rizal Ghaddar. Shot was thrown at the opponent goal keeper but none of them had threaten the TTPC stopman. minute by minute, TTPC started to get into the match. they started to control the centre of the pitch, restricting LPP offensive style of play.

Sharbinee; saving a penalty in the 1st half
3 minutes before the half ended, TTPC were awarded with a penalty when LPP defender tipped TTPC's marksman, Othman in the penalty box. LPP players angrily reacted to the decision. from the replay, it looked like the penalty was a very soft one. the penalty was then denied by LPP goal keeper, Roshairi Sharbinee who seemed to have read the direction of the ball.  Both team shared equal possession with fascinating tries; only the goalkeepers to stop the scoreline from moving. First half ended with 0-0 scoreline.

LPP should have been in front in the first half, especially in the first 10 minutes of the play. however, it was strange day for Rizal Ghaddar. it appeared that something was not right with his right thigh. after the break, LPP brought in Sukrie Rahim to strengthen the attacking line. Sukrie who missed the previous 2 games due to family commitment looked lively in the centre half. it was not long when TTPC midfield star took a chance with a long range try which caught Sharbinee.

The introduction had boosted LPP midfield and quickly changed the game. 15 minutes before the final whistle, Zakri Zidane was called into action. This time, LPP were on all-out attack. The skillful midfielder had couple mesmerizing tricks to cheer the spectators. Having said that, it was too late for LPP and TTPC defense looked very solid on the night. TTPC also had few chances on counter attacks, but Sharbinee proved to the manager why he is still LPP no 1, turning each of the attacks to goal kicks.

Final Whistle :- _________________________________________________________________________________

LPP 0 – 1 TTPC
             Panjang 53’

Verdict: was very disappointing to LPP that they could not sneak a goal from heavy ball possession in the midfield. However, it was overall still a good game for the team as the manager could  try different approaches and strategies with the rest of the squad.

LPP vs TTPC: Press Conference

Lumut Power Plant, 22nd February 2013: The second leg of this friendly game series will take place at LPP All stars homeground, Stadium Astaka Sitiawan. compared to the last internal game between operation and maintenance, this time, the number of people who are expected to turn up for the game is bigger.

Press conference took place in the afternoon after friday prayer. The TTPC team, lead by their Director / Plant Manager who was also present at site, was greeted by his LPP counterpart, En Abdul Rahman Hussin.
The visiting team expressed their gratitude over the warm welcome by LPP. However, in the press conference, they mentioned that there would be no tolerance and their team will be all out on the pitch to repeat the similar score.

Asking over the decision to relased Wan CR to KLHQ next month, LPP manager explained to the press that the decision was not been made by the football club. "The request was from the player. It was not from us. As a manager, i want to assure the fans who have been supporting us all this while that - there is no player here who is bigger than the club."

Wan CR was previously rumored to depart for another club. Few clubs are linked to lure him, led by TSG-HQ and Ventures. Reports say he is unsettled with the life and the ongoing extreme weather at GB3.

LPP: Operation vs LPP Maintenance

Sitiawan, 15 February 2013: Next Game was LPP Operation & Maintenance. The purpose of the game was initially meant for a problem-solving session. Few disputed issues on operation and maintenance of the power plant were brought to the football pitch. people say ' lets football do the talking...'

Due to few internal problems, kick off was delayed by 15 minutes. Upon kick off, operation was the first team to conquer the game. With their high profile players on the starting line up, they played their usual passing game, led by their Russian midfield maestro, Palie Palumbo. nevertheless, plenty of through-ball passes was unable to find Aman Robben. The Republic of Congo international had few chances to overlap maintenance's defender. chances went away one by another.

After a one sided attack by operation, maintenance was able to counter attacked their opponent and found the first goal through Rizal Ghaddar. The lead however, was not long, 7 minutes after the opening goal, operation drew level with Ikram Benzema. After that, both team had equal time on the ball possession. Half time whistle was blown with 1-1 score.

The second half was more entertaining. Operation brough in Sukri Jasni, a Perak born player. His speed on the wing had often given maintenance problems. He proved his worth by helping maintenance to get a second goal through a long range lob by Fauzi Cikgu. Maintenance keeper, Kevin Baharin Jr, was out of his line and the ball was chipped neatly into the corner of the goal post. Since then, it was all about operation possession. For the second time in the match, Rizal Ghaddar was released from his marker, accelerated towards Mat Yie Mat Yo's goal post before he rounded him for the 2nd goal. Rizal again proved his worth as a top striker and grabbed the 3rd goal for maintenance but the lead was only there for 2 minutes. A mis-communication between the goal keeper and maintenance defender allows ikram to nick the ball and scored to level at 3 all.

Final Whistle :-

Operation       3  -  3      Maintenance
    Ikram 12' 67'               Rizal, 19' 36', 65'
                                                     Fauzi  41'

Verdict: Another good game to both of the teams. players started to show their bondings on the pitch. stamina was still an issue but at least strikers showed sharpness in front of the goal.

Man of the Match: Rizal Ghaddar
-showed character and was instrumental through-out the game. a glimpse of his eldest brother Mohammad Ghaddar, he played a central role in most of maintenance attacking moves, grabbed a hat-rick and the winner ball is definitely his.

2013 Kick Off - LPP Selection vs KOMSB

Sitiawan, 1st February 2012: The new season began with another friendly match with Kimanis Power Plant Trainees. Game started as usual, on wednesday night. Kicked-off sharp at 8.45pm. LPP was in control from the begining of the match. leading with a goal at 10 min into the first half and cruising to the final whistle with a 5-0 score. Final Result:

LPP All Stars Selection      5 - 0       KIMANIS  O&M Sdn Bhd
                                   Ikram      10', 16'
                                   Rizal        19'
                                   Shidi         32'
                                   Shah         51'

Verdict - Good participation where 21 players turned out for the game. tactical wise was still sloppy; no wonder, after months on winter break. it was a good warm up game and it gave the team confidence ahead of another football season of 2013. again, the big Q is, on the 3rd half, most of the players lost their steam.. they were outplayed by opposition team and stamina was the key.

Man of the match: Hamid
-the LPP pilot was loaned out to kimanis team. showed good composure on the pitch and lead the team from his own goal post.

Just before the Kick-Off

At the end of the day, it's all about how much money you put in for an odd result
-Happy bookie Ah-Heng with KOMSB MD, TBC-
